Magic Plus

Social networking for Magicians

This might be a dumb question, with all the shops out there, but I am looking for a few magic stores online with good pricing. I want to put together a kit to teach children this summer and choose magic that they will use. I find most kids magic kits to have tricks they will never learn or use. They are financially challenged, if that is PC enough to say they are in low income families. If anyone wants to donate used stuff it is tax deductible. I have my non-profit status, and let me tell you, it is definitely NON PROFIT!

Hi Mike!
Blessings to you, I want to thank you for your kind and uplifting words. It's my turn to apologize for taking so long to respond. I was thinking that I should have started a new thread for this conversation, we have moved on from shopping! I had started to respond to you after your last message, but twice the writing was erased- my errors, but I lost a lot of writing. When you write you put your feelings on paper for all to see..... to bad I lost the other work. So time now for an update.......

First, I found out more about the new guy, "Dan". Not so much his training, but the church we serve breakfast out of and minister through had a revival for four days. The revival pastor was "bishop" from Florida. While the bishop was preaching the revival, Dan came up and was blessed by the Bishop and prophesy was part of it with Dan being told he will be a great pastor. He might be someone special someday, right now he needs humility and understanding coming into a new church. That was the last of my criticism of Dan. He is probably not a bad guy.
There is more but it is `1AM and I'm beat. Tomorrow I'm going to see some of my elders and my lead pastor. They know what is going on and are wise council. I will try to write tomorrow.

Hi Michael! Well to tell the truth (why wouldn't I?) things have gone better. I'm on a board of directors for a ministry to homeless in Pomona, and plan on resigning my post. I have volunteered for over 16 years to serve a Christian message and then a big healthy breakfast to homeless people. We are located in the Los Angeles area of Southern California. After all this time of serving, and starting a non-profit tax exempt corporation last year, my partner and I are accused of trying to use the ministry to take over the church we serve breakfast at. The two organizations are separate, and it is ridiculous to say we are taking over. Of course we denied it, but we were then called liars and back stabbers and so on. I have known the church pastor for over 16 years and yet he would not listen to me or my partner Carlos who has served 18 years. We are both 47 years old, that makes this a major part of our lives and I am very upset over the whole deal. So we are both resigning. On the positive side I will have Saturday mornings free to hang with my wife and kids, and no more 3 hour Thursday night meetings!

Sorry to ramble but this has really upset me. I can't volunteer with a pastor who has become my friend and suddenly makes false accusations. There is more to the story, the bad rumors were started by a new preacher at the church who got mad when I told him he wasn't my boss or leader. He was new at the church- less than a week, when he told me he was the new preacher in charge of my part of the serving ministry. The other good thing is that I will have more time to practice my magic.

I hope your week is going better!

Thanks Mike, I'm excited to start this work! Helping others while sharing the magic is the greatest thing a Magician can do.

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the reply. I had one of those addresses, magic4less, but not the other two. That certainly helps, variety of product is important. I like choices! The Madhatter Magic shop is amazing!
